Third Hispanic Festival
Hosted by The Hospice of the FL Suncoast
Friday, June 5

The festival was a success! The Hospice of the Florida Suncoast hosted its third Festival Hispano, at 5771 Roosevelt Blvd. , Clearwater , FL 33760. It was a day of music, Latin Cuisine, education and fun. Many public service organizations from the Bay area and Pinellas County participated. There was an informational area where the community obtained valuable information about different programs and services including our hospice.

A variety of local ethnic restaurants joined us to celebrate the rich Hispanic culture by different culinary samples from around Latin America. A band added to the fun. The children loved the clowns, balloons, and prizes.

Wine & Wishes Project GRACE and Heartbeat International
Honoring Dr. Henry D. McIntosh
Safety Harbor Resort and Spa
April 18, 2009.

This project was a success! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported it!

The goal of this event is to raise awareness regarding the importance of end-of-life decision making and to support Project GRACE's mission to empower, promote, and educate professionals and the community about effective Advance Care Planning; and to support Heartbeat International's mission of "Making "Poor" Hearts Beat Better."

In addition, this event paid tribute to Project GRACE co-founder and member of the Board of Directors of Heartbeat International, renowned cardiologist, Dr. Henry D. McIntosh who passed away December 2008. Dr. McIntosh was a true champion for this two important organizations.

I would like to thank the organizations that support me individually to make this event a success: Haute Lunch, The Creative Design Team, Sign of the Dolphin, Spirit Speaks Spanish and Sweet Street Bakehouse for their contritutions to Wine & Wishes Silent Auction, your combined generosity exceeded $1,000! Tampa Bay Start! Heart Walk - American Heart Association

Everyone knows someone affected by heart disease or stroke. My live partner and I walked as part of the Valpak team and as a whole we all collected over $4,000. I was honored to walk in memory of my Abuelita Petita (my maternal grandmother) and Aida Blanco (my older kids grandmother). This was an awesome event!

March Of Dimes - March for Babies

Woo hooo!!!!We had a wonderful walk, the Izabella Dragonflies team collected a total of $855.00. Thank you with an open heart!!! Many blessings to my Spiritual family, Valpak and friends for their generosity.

This year as a family tradition to support our community, our family (kids, grandkids and in-laws), were honored and thrilled to combine our time together, having fun and being of service to others.

The money we raised will help fund research to find out why premature birth happens and what can be done to prevent it. Premature birth is the #1 cause of newborn death and the biggest threat to babies' health today.

The March of Dimes mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. See Photos lof a family in loving services.

Day Of Caring - CASA (Community Action Stops Abuse) Project
October 18, 2007

The Day of Caring event was a success! Twelve busy bees from my workplace (Valpak) gather for five hours and painted 5 rooms at one of the CASA shelters.

By the end of the day we brought a bit of brightness to the lives of the woman and children who are staying at the shelter after experiencing domestic violence. See Photos of a fullfilling day.

SPCA Tampa Bay Pet Walk
October 20, 2007

The 17th annual Pet walk was a blast. Bandit and Aspen (my four legged kids), and hundreds of doggies and birds gathered at North Shore Park,downtown St. Petersburg, FL. We volunteered through Valpak's Blue Crew Community Service committee (my place of work) and distributed doggy treats and FREE coupons. The "Paws on Parade" was a blast! Peruvian Earthquake Support
August, 2007.
Supporting: Our Peruvian brothers and sisters

A magnitude 8.0 earthquake struck the southern coast of Peru on Wednesday, August 15, shaking buildings and homes for approximately two minutes.

I want to thank all my friends and family who contribute to this fundraiser, we collected $255+ dollars. Also I would like to extend my infinite love and gratitude to all the ones who supported our Peruvian brothers and sisters at the Spiritual level with their prayers and by sending light and positive energy.

8th Annual Pet Telethon
Supporting Humane Society of Tampa Bay
August 4, 2007
In this event a group of co-workers from Valpak took time on a weekend to participate in this wonderful opportunity of service for our four legged friends.

We raised over 160,000 for the animals
26 animals went to their forever homes on Saturday
57 animals went home on Sunday. People started lining up at 4:30am on Sunday to adopt the little fury friend they had seen on the Pet Telethon the day before.

7th Annual Hospice Beach Stroll
at Clearwater Beach, Florida

Supporting: The Hospice of the Florida Suncoast
In this particular event my kids, grandkids and daughter-in-law celebrated and honor the memory of our own little angel (granddaughter) Izabella Alexandra and my beloved brother Carlos Rafael Carrillo who will forever live in our hearts.

We are very grateful to our friends and families for their pledges to support this wonderful cause, we raised $240.00 which will support many of The Hospice of the Florida Suncoast programs. Photos of a fun and fullfilling day at the beach.

The "Wings Of Inspiration Munchkins Team" gives thanks to all our family, friends, co-workers and spiritual family for supporting us in this fun and fullfilling way of being of service to others. We raised $560.00 for a great cause, had a blast and had lots of fun!!!! Photos
