Favorite organization that you volunteer and why.
My volunteering is Universal, in that I mean that I volunteer in Nature. At least twice a week, on trash day, I pick up trash while on my run. I then run or walk to the nearest trash container waiting for pickup, and deposit it. This in itself helps to clean up our planet. I also try to do this anytime I am in Nature. If ever person would pick up a couple pieces of trash a day (and not litter at all) we could clean up the planet.
Second favorite organization, if applicable, and why.
I also lead Meditative walks in Nature once a month to help lead others back to their roots. With the fast pace lives that we live today, with sharing my love of Nature, this allows others to experience the Sacred Silence.
Blessings/Gifts you receive from doing this type of service.
Just watching people relax and hear their breathing calm and seeing the love of God in Nature that they are experiencing is such a Gift to me. I feel like a child sharing my most prized possession.
How do you balance your busy daily life with this type of service?
For me there is always enough time for Nature.
Tell us a memorable story about your work (if applicable).
One day a friend came along with me for a walk on the Nature Trail at Honeymoon Island, her first. As we walked along I pointed out many different creatures, gopher tortoise, great horned owl, and an armadillo, which walked right up to me. We finished our walk on the beach where I told her to watch and we will see dolphin swim by. And we did. My friend comment that I must have ordered this day especially for her. And you know, I did.

I support a child in Sudan through Plan USA, I also donate to Heifer International and other organizations that help others to help themselves.
Who or what inspire you to follow this giving path:
My greatest inspirations come from two of my wonderful teachers, Rev Pat King and Rev Henry Ellis. Watching the two of them being Conduits of God, knowing that they are fully supported by the Universe has helped me also to open the flow and become more Giving. I thank them for this.
